We focus on local providers to ensure sustainable crops. It is important to us to provide schools with quality frozen, dry and refrigerated products, compliant snacks, and fresh bread and produce. Gold Star Foods partners with small, local businesses and farms to safeguard our products with an unwavering commitment to best practices in food safety and traceability.
Christopher Robinson is the fourth generation to farm his family ranch, Robinson Ranch, in Merced, California. Christopher believes sustainability is about leaving the farm, and ecological resources for future generations healthier and more productive.
Gold Star Foods leads the way on food safety – going beyond industry standards as one of the first school food distribution companies to simultaneously achieve two recognized food safety certifications:
The Food Safety Modernization Act and Safe Quality Food Program (SQF Level II).
The safe quality food program ensures the food on all school lunch trays are healthy, fresh and, most importantly, safe. We are relentless in our mission to ensure schools are serving fresh, wholesome food each and every day.
